Home Care Worker Program

A home care worker is a person who is employed by a consumer-employer of LCOG Senior & Disability Services to provide assistance to eligible older adults or adults with physical disabilities. The requirements to be a home care worker were established by Oregon’s Home Care Commission.

Requirements include:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Completion of a Home Care Worker application, as directed by each local office
  • Attendance of a Home Care Worker orientation, provided by Carewell
  • Capability of providing or learning to provide necessary care
  • Passage of a background check and criminal history clearance
