About Us

Senior & Disability Services, a division of Lane Council of Governments (LCOG), is the designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Lane County, Oregon. As a designated AAA, we coordinate and offer services that help older adults live independently in their own homes or the community setting of their choice.

Our Mission: "To advocate for seniors and persons with disabilities and provide to them quality services and information that promote dignity, independence, and choice."

Advocacy & Training

Senior and Disability Services is dedicated to preserving services to seniors and people with disabilities. We work with a variety of coalitions on city, state, and national levels to impact public policies, educate elected officials, maximize resources for services, and advocate for human rights for older adults and persons with disabilities.

Finding the right services can be a daunting task.

The Aging and Disability Resource Connection, or ADRC, is a free service that offers the public a single source of information and assistance on issues affecting older people, people with disabilities, and their caregivers, regardless of their income. ADRC is dedicated to:

  • Providing resources and services that support the needs of family caregivers.
  • Helping individuals to understand the various long-term care options available to them.
  • Enabling individuals to make informed, cost-effective decisions about long-term care.
